The initial demand of the client is to build an AI-based spreadsheet application that utilizes artificial intelligence to create a portfolio model. It will automatically predict the impact on output/returns benefit columns when changes are made to input/premium values. This allows for efficient analysis and optimization of the portfolio's performance.

Obstacles We
Overcame

The initial obstacles include ensuring accurate and efficient integration of the AI models with the spreadsheet application, optimizing the prediction algorithms for reliable and real-time calculations, handling complex dependencies between columns, managing potential errors and inconsistencies in user inputs, and designing an intuitive user interface for seamless interaction with the tool.

In the uploaded spreadsheet, a user can select dependent and independent columns.1

There is a two-fold AI model. The first model shortlists the independent columns that drive a particular column. The second one models each column for prediction. Tree-based models were used in both cases. 2

Predictions are made based on the changes in cells made by the user.3

The predicted sheet is displayed along with a comparison with the original one. 4

We have achieved all the requirements of our client and are able to build a quality futuristic product that is an AI-powered spreadsheet tool that allows users to select dependent and independent columns. It employs a two-fold AI model using tree-based models to predict column values based on user-input changes, providing a predicted sheet for comparison with the original.
